What you get – 15 fresh seeds

A native of Mexico and South America but now cultivated all over the world, tropical and subtropical areas.
This guavas type round in shape. Green when unripe, yellow when it is ripe. The fresh is rich pink in colour.

Seeds – Yellow skin, pink sweet flesh, edible guava. Grows into medium sized deciduous tree.

The taste is quite sweet with a slight musky odor but still very tasty. Still hard when it is unripe and not so sweet, but quite edible.
If you eat it at the right time, it is sweet, soft, and juicy, but not mushy.
There are numerous seeds in guava but are mostly small and found in the center of the fruit, fresh with the seeds are the softest and sweetest part of the fruit.
Seeds are edible so no need to spit them out.
The skin is edible and a high concentration of vitamins (A,B,C) are found there. This variety, the ripe yellow skin is soft and tasty to eat (some varieties have hard and/or bitter skin)
Guava is one of the super-fruits, which is packed with numerous nutritions. It is very high in Vitamin C and in antioxidants. Good amounts of potassium and fibre too. The pink flesh is slightly better than white, as it contains more beta carotene and other nutrients.
Sweet juicy mild flavour, make these a very popular fruit.
Psidium Guajava – Medium-sized round Fruit to 7cm diameter.
Skin yellow, flesh pink; eaten best when soft ripe and grows into a medium-sized tree.
Easily grown in most soil types where you have a minimal frost climate.
Plant seeds immediately in a pot in a warm spot and wait, can take months to germinate.

Guava Grow notes.

1) Soak seeds overnight

2) Plant 1/4 inch deep into 50% sand and potting mix fines (sieve if necessary)

3) Keep moist and warm in a sheltered part of the garden

4) Water as normal

5) Have patience

6) Guavas can require and few changes in temp and moisture before they germinate.

Can take until the following spring, but usually have good results even if a little slow.
